I picked like 2 pounds of raspberries today, and I've got like... way too much raspberry banana jam already put up. I need to think of more uses for this.
So... ice cream? Most fruit icecream recipes call for blended mashed fruit, why not just toss in a can of jam, and then cut back some on the sugar.
Anyone ever do it?

When I make ice cream with fruit,I just through some whole fruit into the mix turns out very well.
Never tried it with jam

I would think cutting back on the sugar would be a great idea. The fruit is naturally sweet, and the jam has some added sugar already. Since Crash is on a diet, I'll gladly review any samples you would have otherwise sent to him for QC ;)

I don't see why not. I'll have to check my ice cream recipe book and see if there's one in there.

Well, I made it last night, it worked. Tastes appropriate. Probably could have taken two jars.
