I just read that the oldest living WWI vet just passed away in Ohio. Here is the thread:

That's a shame, and my regrets to his family. He served his country and helped bring us the freedom we now have so my hats off to him and my thanks to him.

The guy was 109! I think that has to be some kind of survival ability in and of itself. It isn't exactly survival but I thought it warranted him being remembered.

It does, and he's one of the older hero's of our country. He'll be missed but always remembered and respeted.
