Cooked breakfast in the yard today, over a fire. It's something that many of us did in the Scouts many years ago. It brought back some fond memories and was just as fun today as when I was ten.

That was cool ! Did you know that you could roll an orange around between your hand and the table (before cutting) while applying firm pressure, This will separate the meat from the peel, then you do not have to dig the orange out with a knife :)

I would leave a bit of orange meat in the skin. Better flavor in my opinion. :)

Great video!

The egg did/does take on some of the orange flavor.

I really enjoyed that, and learned a new trick.
Feel like a kid again.
(I have that knife too--first real one I ever bought.)

Thanks Crash!

I've been to a World's Fair and a whole lot of goat ropes; I even poached an egg in a spray can top. But now, THAT is a neat one!!! Thanks, Crash.

The guy doing that vid almost cut himself twice while cutting the flesh out of the skin. Showing he has never learned knife safety. He just got lucky he didn't lay his fingers open.
