I just finished this one up for dad. It is 1095, red/white burlap MYcarta, tapered tang, and stag bolsters. OAL is 7 3/4" with a 3 1/8" cutting edge. I am trying a new finish out on this one. I call it Black Crome. It is black and very rust resistant. This is not a coating, but a reaction.
Hope you like it oh and dear ole dad too.

It looks like a rough texture, but is very slick.

Thanks guys,
It is the same bleach finish used to "antique" blades, just taken up a notch, then buffed to a gloss. Looking at it in the light, it is hard to tell see if it is silver or black. Out of the sun it is very black.
