Bought this last weekend at the market for $5. Says on the label which is still on the blade.(Coldsteel heavy machette)

Not sure if I'm going to leave it alone or end up using the blade for other purposes. Either way it will be a new experience. Never had a machette or tried to build a homemade knife.

Nice find and nice price. They aren't too expensive (under $20), but for $5 I think you've got a pretty handy tool.

I have found them local for around $13.00. $5.00 is a great deal. It should do alot of work for the money. If it breaks, you still got your moneys worth plus you can cut it up.
