OK, setting aside the cost issue. What is the very Best Hand Cranked Grain Grinder in the world.........??? What does it cost......??? Where is the best place to purchase it......??? And what one or two parts will wear-out or break after 50 years of constant use. (Bearings, bushings, etc.).......? (Googled reviews welcome)

THANK-YOU...........:)

sjj, does the Lehmans Best (but cheaper than the Diamante) work well for you? I've been considering that one. Can't afford the other. It just seems kinda spindly and it doesn't show the clamping mechanism.

Does anyone grind oats.........? I understand you have to buy or grow a special type that has no husk..........? I can get Oats for $9.00 per 50# If I supply the bags & buy minimum of 500 pounds.

This isn't mine, but looks just like it. I got mine for free when my grandfather died. He used it a lot and bought it long before I was born. It is still going strong. It is heavy because it uses to big stones. There might be a better one, but I know this one. My parents have a similar one, as did my other grandparents. So, I grew up using this one.
