How to catch the most fish and bring them home alive, eh? Smok, what are going to do with all that fish?
No this is just for my kit I cannot use a net here in Calif. . But in a survival kit I thought they would be good for just that , nets catch fish....
Not the basket method but the other two below.

Yes ,yes, but that fish net can also be used for birds and other THINGS , and its wight is 2 or 3 oz.. Not bad or a quit and ease meal
Couldn't agree more, Smok, just offering some alternatives for the less experienced.
LOL think you Rick* :D Great post your going to have to show me how to get the photos up on here
Easy stuff. Find an image on the net you want to post. Say:
http://i.timeinc.net/fieldstream/images_small/os_fish.jpg
then just enclose it with an img tag.
http://i.timeinc.net/fieldstream/images_small/os_fish.jpg
enclosing the tag in boxes tells the form you want to post an image and that is the start of the url. At the end of the URL you put another box but this one with a /. . That tells the forum it has reached the end of the URL. No space between the tags and the URL. I had to put the spaces in otherwise you would have seen the picture but not the words.

I bought a book on making nets from a place called Netcraft: www.jannsnetcraft.com , but I haven't tried to make any yet. I have to get some shuttles and gauges first. Nets are very handy to have if you need to get something to eat!
