The weather this week was too good to pass up. 60's & 70's with sun. I've gotten out to a few Dupage County (Illinois) lakes and Bussy Woods (Schaumburg, IL) Lake this past week without so much as a nibble. It looks as though the fish are still in the deeper waters until the water warms up a bit.

As a side note, for any of you in the Chicago suburbs:

"Silver Lake at Blackwell Forest Preserve in Warrenville will be stocked with about 2,600 fish, Pratt Lake with about 2,200 fish and Grove Lake at Wood Dale Grove Forest Preserve in Wood Dale with about 550 fish."

Fishing on these lakes opens 1 hour after sunrise April 3, 2010.

Any one in the area or another have any success fishing this week?

After that, I didn't have time to take pics anymore.. the fish were ferociously eating up the crawfish. We sat in one spot till dark and wound up with almost 40 white bass, bream, and 2 catfish

I havnt been yet. The ice went out early this winter but the water has just been to high for me. I like to fish the river and there is just to much stuff floating around this close to ice out. I hope to get out in the water later next week and see what might be biting.

Water has been pretty high here as well. I fly fish. There is nothing better than a bluegill hooked on a fly rod. Those rascals are built to fight.

I'm still looking at two months before the Kings start running. The snow hasn't even begun to melt in my yard. I'm going NUTS!
