Hello,
Over the last few days I have been reading many of the threads. Seems to be a great community here. I also see there are a few others from Oklahoma.
I live out in the country in Oklahoma on 40acres. Have about a 25min drive to get to a town of any size. There are some smaller ones closer, but they don't have much at all.
I was raised in the country, and have lived there my whole life. I think just that makes me better off at the "survival" thing than the average person.
Due to my location there are very few things that I can think of that would cause me to "bug out". I am pretty much set where I am at even without much planning ahead.
The house is heated with propane, the stove is also propane. I am also on well water. There is a lot of wildlife around. Also there is also two ponds on my land, only one with fish though. There is a decent size creek within a mile of my house, and a river within 3 miles.
I am on a hill, so I dont have to worry about flooding. As far as being snowed in, it doesn't snow here much, and I have never seen more than my 4x4 truck can go through.
Anyway that's just a little about me. I look forward to being part of this community.
