This knife is made from a hand file. I used oak for the handle and some copper and brass. Just thought I would show it off. Tell me what you think.I made it about a year ago. Had to clean it up a bit so you could see the details. I used another file to shape the blade edge. a bench grinder to cut it down to fit the handle.

nice. great primitive look, and quite artistic.
i notice your blade has a random hole in the blade.
my second latest blade has a hole in about the same place, and here i was worrying about playing it off.

might use that extra hole for a thong-loop for bracing when doing some serious cutting. I really like that knife. Good Job!!

Looks nice, did you get it heat treated? does it hold an edge?:tongue_smilie:

the edge still needs a little work. No its not heat treated. I was afraid I would take the temper out of the steel if I heated it up to much.
