so this weekend me and my dad have been up to steuben for some hunting we left friday got up 5am saturday we go out get set up around 6:00 ish crazy man had a deer nesting right behind us we didn't take a shot too much brush around 8ish dad goes to the bathroom leaves his gun i'm sitting down two huge deer come around a 9 pointer and 6 he runs for the gun but it was to late deer got away bit later we heard a single grunt thought it was a woodpecker or something he hands me the gun then he says hand me the gun so boom got a good size 10pointer my dad's first steuben deer it was so heavy had to get our buddy who had his quad and had to load it up and went back to the bed and breakfast where we were staying and the lady there gave us a nuesiance permit went up to the field siting see this monster at least 400 yards away and a bit later a saw a flash of whitetail im like dad dad doe and instanly boom went down into the woods we found it and guted it was my first time out hunting and my dad got his first steuben deer he has been going for 5 years i got a deer on my first time out as were eating our buddy tom was talking about how he shot a 10pointer but lost it so next day he wanted me to rub his gun for good luck around 7:20 am as me and dad were getting ready to leave he gets a call tom hit a huge 8pointer man he was freaking out so awesome he got his repdemtion i would say not bad for my first time out hunting lol :)
