BBC America will be airing a new show called "Survivors" If it is done with the usual BBC quality, it should be good. I'll wait and see.

Looks promising. Thanks for the heads up!!

SURVIVORS - U.S. PREMIERE
The chilling new apocalyptic drama, Survivors, focuses on the world in the aftermath of a virus that has wiped out 99% of the human race. The lonely few who remain struggle to start over in a devastated world where everything that was once safe and familiar is now strange and dangerous. At the center of the story is a bewildered but resilient group of survivors led by Abby Grant (Julie Graham), a woman whose strength comes from a burning need to find out if her young son is still alive. This brave new world brings an opportunity for new beginnings, but also terrible dangers – not just the daily struggle for food and water, but a deadly threat from other survivors.

Survivors premieres Saturday, February 13, 8:00p.m. ET/PT - subsequent episodes premiere at 9:00p.m. ET/PT.

We're on series two over here. I watched part of series one, but to be honest, I found it all a bit gloom and doom so stopped watching. Don't get me wrong, it's very well made, and to my mind, probably close to what would really happen in that situation. It just didn't float my boat.

television is amerikas greates waste of time!

Have you ever considered that reading your posts may be our greatest waste of time? :sneaky2:

By the way, genius, it's "America's" - not "amerikas," okay? You're either unable to spell or you're being disrespectful to our nation - either way, it's pathetic.

I'm assuming BBC America is a channel name. We don't get it here, nor do we get OLN. :(

BBC = British Broadcasting Association. Not sure whether it has a channel devoted to it or it sells shows to other channels over in the U.S.

Edit..Ooops! Corporation!

I'm on Comcast and it's channel 173 for me. I don't know if that helps or not.

Yes itn helps. I guess I'll have to let the cable company know we'd like these channels.

The BBC America channel has some very good shows on it. They tend to be well written, I am hoping this Survivors show is at the same qualiy=ty level as the others.

I think you'll enjoy Sarky. It's actually an updated version of a series made by the BBC in the 70's
I won't let on what happens, promise!

So Winnie, do you watch "Being Human" or "Doctor Who"?

Winnie

Being Human! We're half way through series 2. I don't watch Dr Who anymore, David Tennant is the Dr no more and the newest Dr Who is a bit of and limp-wristed twit IMO.

I thought David Tenant was the best Doctor ever! we've only just been introduced to the new one. We're still waiting for season 2 of Being Human to start up here.

Yup, David Tennant was almost the best, I grew up with John Pertwee as the Dr, so he's the one for me!(showing my age there!)

Isn't that like what the Discovery Channel did with "The Colony"? I never finished watching that...it's just so not believable IMO.

Well I watched the 2 hour premier and over all very well done. There were a few minor "drama" scenes that i could have done without. But there was actually a lot of good advice given and proper actions taken. I am interested in seeing the rest.
