First off I get NO kind of compensation from any of these sites, these are just what I use when doing Historical Trekking if I can't make the needed kit.
Now several people have asked me where I get my kit/gear/equipment and clothing for my historical trekking, so here goes.
For those that are interested in where I buy my 1750s gear, clothing, and equipment. Here it is.
http://www.crazycrow.com/ (http://www.crazycrow.com/) Has alot of things to make clothing and some good equipment. I use them as little as possible as they are not always period correct.
http://www.arrowmoc.com/ (http://www.arrowmoc.com/) They make great long lasting moccisns, if I dont make my own I buy them here. Seem kinda pricey but the last. I have a pair of the Center Seam Mocs and they are great and comfy and have lasted four years and going strong.
http://www.hemptraders.com/ (http://www.hemptraders.com/) In case anyone needs any hemp for cordage. I use it for making tumplines and carrying straps, also keep about 50' in my modern gear its as good as rope.
http://jas-townsend.com/index.php (http://jas-townsend.com/index.php) Has just about everything you could want or need, and the price is a little high but the quality is great.
http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/ (http://www.tandyleatherfactory.com/) Great resource for all your leather needs and tools too.
http://gggodwin.com/ (http://gggodwin.com/) A great site but a little pricey.
http://www.blackpowderbags.com/ (http://www.blackpowderbags.com/) Great site for leather goods, shooting pouches etc.
http://www.trackofthewolf.com/index....Support=1&as=1 (http://www.trackofthewolf.com/index.aspx?AspxAutoDetectCookieSupport=1&as=1) A great all around site for any product you might need and a lot for flinters.
http://www.attheeasterndoor.com/Default.aspx (http://www.attheeasterndoor.com/Default.aspx) Another great site.
http://www.smoke-fire.com/ (http://www.smoke-fire.com/) A really good site for gear.
http://www.revwarsupplier.com/documents/whecat.pdf (http://www.revwarsupplier.com/documents/whecat.pdf) A good site for colonial clothing all handmade.
http://www.snowshoestore.com/ This is where I bought my snowshoes, they work great, just get a pair based on not just your weight but add to that the weight of the pack you will be carrying.
These are most of the sites I go use. I only use these sites If I can't make it myself, I buy it from one of these, notice I didn't put knives in here I only use hand made knives and Hawks. Also Tents are not in here as I make my own from canvas cloth.
Hope this helps anyone interested.
