    Wild Potato Vine is a trailing vine with singly attached heart shaped leaves and large 2-4 inch (5-10) cm - bell like white flowers with pink-purple centers. The root is large, vertical and deeply buried. You can use the root as a potato and bake or boil it. They resemble slightly bitter sweet potatoes. You may need to boil them in several changes of water to remove the bitterness. WARNING: The raw root is a purgative
